Bring a piece of New England folk art into your home with this hand-crafted Pewter-style chalkware standing lamb. This wonderful piece was inspired by Early American and English Pewter and the German tradition of handcrafting folk art pieces using antique German chocolate molds/ ice cream molds.
Of special note: The figure was cast in chalkware using a wonderful antique German tin chocolate mold (mfg. Oberman, Germany). The finished piece, measuring approx 3 -1/4 inches wide, was handpainted with my Signature Aged Pewter finish, antiqued and glazed to complement aged Pewter with a dark patina. Hand-signed "Bittersweet House Folk Art, K. Campbell, 2005, Sherborn, MA". This piece will display beautifully in front of your collection of Pewter plates, bowls, ice cream molds or pewter platters; and, will display equally well with sterling silver, mercury glass, yelloware, redware, and other primitives.
