The Dresden Collector's Lamb
Catalog #L106 — Anton Reiche Antique Mold
This exquisite 4 1/4 inch lamb is cast from a rare antique chocolate mold by the legendary Anton Reiche of Dresden, Germany. Because it was cast from a Reiche mold, the detail in the "fur" is incredibly fine and realistic, a hallmark of the Dresden master mold-makers.
In the tradition of antique German Putz sheep, I have finished this piece with a signature red neck band and a tiny brass-style bell. Each lamb is individually hand-painted and carefully antiqued to achieve the soft, storied patina of a 19th-century treasure.

The Artistry
Anton Reiche molds are often considered the "Rolls Royce" of antique chocolate molds due to their lifelike textures. By casting these in chalkware, I am able to preserve that historic detail for modern collectors. Each piece is signed, numbered, and dated on the bottom.
