The Obermann Miniature Sheep

This hand-crafted miniature sheep is cast in chalkware using a rare antique chocolate mold from Mfg. Obermann (Germany). Measuring approx 3.25 inches, it captures the delicate scale and charm of traditional German folk art.

Inspired by the beloved antique German Putz stick-leg wool sheep, this piece features a classic red band around the neck. It is meticulously hand-painted and antiqued to replicate the soft patina and warmth of a well-loved heritage piece.

Using self-taught methods, Bittersweet House Folk Art captures the character and warmth of the German folk art tradition of chalkware. Each piece is individually hand-cast from an antique mold, hand-painted, signed, numbered, and dated by Kathryn Campbell.
