R210 Anton Reiche Walking Rabbit is a pure expression of traditional German moldwork—simple, elegant, and quietly powerful. Measuring 6 inches wide, it is hand-cast in chalkware from an antique chocolate mold attributed to Anton Reiche (Dresden, Germany), a name synonymous with exceptional detail.
To honor the historic character of the original mold, I use hand-mixed colors and a layered antiquing process to create a soft, time-stained patina that lets the relief and silhouette do the work. The result is a rabbit with the calm dignity of a true antique—made for collectors who prefer restraint over novelty.
R210 displays beautifully in early American interiors—on a mantel with ironstone, tucked into a cupboard with stoneware, or styled with dried herbs and old books for a warm primitive vignette.
