The Miniature Chalkware Mother & Son

This hand-crafted "Masterwork in Miniature" features a Chalkware Mother Rabbit with her bunny son. It is cast from an exceptionally rare, tiny antique chocolate mold created by Anton Reiche of Dresden, Germany.

Despite its small scale, standing 3 3/4 inches, the detail in the casting is superb. I have hand-painted the mother in a redwork embroidery motif. This intricate pattern, combined with the rarity of the Reiche mold, makes this a highly collectible signature piece.

Anton Reiche molds are the gold standard for detail in the folk art world. Capturing such precise patterns on this tiny scale requires hours of meticulous work. Each piece is hand-cast in chalkware, hand-painted, signed, numbered, and dated by Kathryn Campbell.
