The Artistry

Cast in chalkware from a rare German antique chocolate mold, Catalog #R505 features a rabbit holding a basket, finished in a warm antique white with a softly antiqued patina. The striped pedestal base is painted in pink and white and finished with a floral garland of green leaves and red blossoms, giving the piece its classic French country character.

Styling Ideas

R505 pairs beautifully with early wood, ironstone, baskets, and pantry boxes. It also displays especially well alongside vintage paper mâché candy containers and spring ephemera, where the soft palette and striped base feel right at home.
