Standing just 3.75 inches tall, the S473 is a tribute to the legendary craftsmanship of 19th-century Pennsylvania woodworker Joseph Lehn. This diminutive Santa, shown holding a classic evergreen tree, is hand-painted in the unmistakable Lehnware style. The design honors the vibrant, decorative painting that transformed everyday woodenware into cherished family heirlooms in the Lancaster County tradition.
The ornamentation features the classic hallmarks of Lehn's work: delicate pinstriping, stylized floral sprigs, and traditional borders. The palette is bright and rhythmic, capturing the "sunny" disposition of Pennsylvania Dutch folk art. The evergreen tree held by Santa provides a deep green contrast to the intricate, precision-painted motifs on his coat. If requested, Diamond Frost glass glitter adds a crystalline winter sparkle to his beard and the tree’s branches.
