The Artistry

Standing 8 inches tall, the S529 Chalkware Santa is a majestic figure from a rare antique Laurösch of Germany chocolate mold. This Santa, carrying his iconic lantern, is finished in a rich, deep forest green coat. This color choice, combined with the detailed folk motifs, gives the piece a distinctive Old-World character that feels both grounded and magical.

The Design

The ornamentation is a beautiful blend of European traditions. The coat features hand-painted Fleur-de-Lis motifs, while the bottom edge is finished with a charming Scandinavian heart-clover trim. This four-heart design, common in Norwegian and Swedish folk art, represents good fortune and love.

Of Special Note:
The contrast of the deep green coat against the bright lantern light makes this one of our most popular designs for holiday displays. To complete the wintry scene, Diamond Frost glass glitter can be requested for the beard and to create a snow-covered base, catching the light like frozen morning dew.
