This diminutive figure is a tribute to a childhood memory and a mother's eye for beauty. Inspired by a 1964 photograph of the artist as a five-year-old girl, the design recreates her favorite strawberry-print dress. Each tiny berry and trailing vine is hand-painted, turning this small casting into a vibrant piece of wearable history. It is a celebration of mid-century nostalgia, maternal love, and the simple joys of summer.
Of Special Note:
Standing just 2 5/8 inches tall, this piece is cast from an exceptionally rare antique Anton Reiche chocolate mold (Dresden, Germany). Reiche molds are world-renowned for their precision; only a mold of this caliber could capture the sweet, lifelike details of such a small figure.
Each piece is individually cast in chalkware, hand-painted, signed, numbered, and dated by Kathryn Campbell.
