Gilded Tradition. The S712 Folk Art chalkware Belsnickle Santa is hand-cast from an antique chocolate mold and painted in a deep, vibrant red. This piece features a formal Regency-style design that brings a stately presence to the traditional Belsnickle figure.
The design is defined by bold black bands that frame the hood, sleeves, and coat. These dark borders are hand-painted with repeating gold palmettes and fleur-de-lis, accented by narrow companion stripes in green and white. The high-contrast palette and symmetrical motifs are inspired by historical 19th-century folk art patterns.
