The S416 is a 3 3/4 inch Belsnickle that perfectly captures the "Old World" charm of early New England holiday decor. Cast from a rare antique German chocolate mold, this Santa holds a festive tree and carries the quiet dignity of 18th-century folk art. This piece was designed during an era when Bittersweet House was based in a historic Massachusetts farmhouse, where the artist was surrounded by the authentic textures and colors of Early Americana.
The painting on S416 focuses on a soft, antiqued patina that highlights the sharp detail of the original tin mold. The color palette is muted and historically inspired, designed to sit beautifully alongside redware, pewter, and salt-glaze pottery. A touch of Diamond Frost glass glitter is applied to the beard and snowy base, providing a crystalline shimmer that mimics a crisp, New England frost.
