The Artistry

Standing 5 3/4 inches tall, the S455 Christmas Chalkware Santa is cast from an antique German chocolate mold. This piece embodies the soul of early American holiday decor, featuring a Santa carrying a nostalgic bottle brush tree. The color palette is a nod to traditional folk history, with a muted antique green coat that contrasts beautifully against his vibrant red hat.

The Design

The detail on this piece is centered on the hand-painted Pennsylvania Dutch trim that adorns the coat, giving the Santa a distinct "folk art" feel. The overall finish is aged and antiqued to mimic the patina of a 19th-century original. To bring a touch of winter brilliance to the design, Diamond Frost glass glitter is applied to the beard and the snowy base.
