The Artistry
This charming 4-inch Easter chalkware figure captures a tender moment of a Mother rabbit carrying her young bunny. Cast from an antique chocolate mold, the Mother Rabbit is depicted carrying her baby in a gilded embroidered pashmina on her back.
In her hand, she carries a bunch of freshly harvested carrots and radishes, complete with hand-painted green tops. This piece is a wonderful example of the storytelling found in old-world German molds, brought to life with meticulous painting and my signature antiquing process.
